The ligth will flash only when contacting firmly against your skin, never into the air. But, you should never try to shoot on to or close to your eyes.

IPL and laser are both effective to prevent hair growing by using light pulse to destroy the follicle. However, they are quite different in the following aspects.

1) IPL delivers a wide spectrum of lights, while laser delivers a single concentrated beam of light.

2) Treatment time: both are effective, the laser is more efficient and needs less time.

3) Cost: IPL is cheaper than laser.

4) Results: Laser is permanent, and IPL is more for hair reduction.

Why do I need to do follow-up treatments?

The laser hair removal devices are designed to emit light energy to the pigment in hair follicles. The melanin in the hair follicle is like a target, and the amount of melanin determines the effectiveness of hair removal.There are mainly three stages for hair growth: anagen(growing phase), catagen(transition phase), and telogen(resting phase). In anagen (active growth phase), the hair follicles have the largest amount of melanin, while in the catagen and telogen phases, there are fewer pigments in follicles. Our hair is in different growing stages, so we need to do top-up treatments for optimal hair removal results.
